Research mechanism

HMG activates specific receptors in the ovaries and testes through its FSH and LH components. The LH-active component binds to LHCG receptors on theca cells (in females) or testicular Leydig cells (in males), stimulating androgen synthesis (including testosterone and androstenedione), which are then aromatized to estrogens by granulosa cells, synergistically promoting final follicular maturation and ovulation. The synergistic action of both hormones ensures complete gonadal axis activation, providing a more physiological gonadotropin support compared to FSH stimulation alone.
